Ocean Drilling Program - Leg 178: drilling campaign in the continental margin of the Antarctic PeninsulaIN ENGLISH: The Leg 178 Ocean Drilling Program (ODP) was developed from 5th February to 9th April in 1998. During the 31 days of campaign 9 locations were drilled in the continental margin of the Antarctic Peninsula to establish the evolution of the Antarctic Glacial ice layer, registered by the sediments. The Spanish participation in the campaign were as Sedimentologist-Stratigraphist, taking par

SURFICIAL GEOLOGY MAPS OF VERMONTSurficial geologic maps of Vermont are available for 7.5 minute and 15 minute quadrangles . The maps include materials, landforms, cross-sections, and some include depth to bedrock information. Digital protocols are under development as of 6-25-99. Raw data for the depth to bedrock analysis is available as a dataset based on water well locations, well drillers reports, and transportation borings.

Participating in the Leg 177 ODP campaign: Southern Ocean PaleoceanographyIn English: The oceanographic campaign is framed in the international Ocean Drilling Program (OPD). It was focused on the recovering of bottom marine sediments to rebuilt the ocean history and the terrestrial dynamics in general. 7 stations were researched from 40ºS to 55ºS, to analyze the chalky nanofossils registered in the sediments. In the Leg 177 were taken 10,000 cores. En Español: La campañ

National Petroleum Reserve-Alaska Well Log Data for 1946 to 1981; USGSThe National Petroleum Reserve in Alaska (NPRA) is located in the primitive wilderness of Alaska's North Slope. The U.S. Geological Survey (USGS) began some geological surveying in this area in the early 1900's, and the U.S. Navy began geological and geophysical surveys and drilling in 1945 to appraise the petroleum potential of the Reserve. Information on surveys prior to 1955 may be obtained fro

Oceanographic campaign RV Polarstern ANT/XVIII/5. Bellinghausen SeaIn English: The data and sample collection in this campaign were: -Recovering of 30 piston cores to different latitudes. The length of these cores, depending on the lithological characteristics, is between 15 and 23 m. -Micro-paleonthological analysis onboard RV Polarstern -To study the rebuilding of the Eltanin asteroid fine sampling was done surrounding 57ºS/92ºW recovering meteoritic fragments
