A Home Nursing Agency provides skilled nursing services in a client's residence — services that, under the Nurse Practice Act, must be performed by a Registered Nurse or Licensed Practical Nurse — on a shift, one-time, full-time, part-time, or intermittent basis. Home Nursing Agencies are distinct from Home Health Agencies in that they provide nursing services only, without the additional therapy or social work services that the Home Health Agency category requires.

The Home Nursing Agency category does not include an individually licensed nurse acting as a private contractor, nor entities licensed under the Nurse Agency Licensing Act. Each record represents one currently licensed agency and includes agency name, location, primary administrative contact, license number, and license expiration date. A single legal entity may hold multiple Part 245 licenses (Home Health, Home Services, Home Nursing) and appear across more than one of the published license-type datasets under separate license numbers.
