Database of Short Large-Amplitude Magnetic Structures (SLAMS) detected by spacecraft 1 of the Cluster mission in the foreshock of Earth

An automated algorithm has been used for SLAMS identification followed by a manual verification process to remove bow shock oscillations and other false detections. SLAMS have been defined to have an amplitude of at least two times the background magnetic field.

(2025), while "SLAMS_database_Cluster_sc1_2002-2012_1min_from_BS.txt" contains additional detections made less than 1 min from the bow shock crossing, not considered by Bergman et al. (2025).
