Description
Data were collected in May 2025 through a nationwide online panel. The sample comprised 601 Estonian and 306 Russian respondents aged 18 to 74 among other national groups such as Belarusians and Ukrainians.
Given the two language groups, a bilingual questionnaire was provided, allowing respondents to select the version that best suited their preference. The ethnic variable was defined by initially excluding all non-Estonian and non-Russian respondents. The Russian sample was subsequently verified for their primary language of residence.

If they indicated speaking Russian at home, they were categorized as Russian, even if they had opted for the Estonian language version of the questionnaire. In addition to individual variables, aggregate measures were also used in the analysis of the data.
