RNA-sequencing to analyze immune response to Pseudomonas syringeae pv tomato DC3000 in Col-0 or nac53-1 78-1

Listed in NCBI GEO

Proteotoxic stress, characterized by the accumulation of damaged proteins, poses a significant challenge to cellular homeostasis.

Description

To mitigate proteotoxicity, eukaryotes rely on the proteasome that is regulated by proteasome transcriptional activators. As proteotoxicity can originate in different compartments, cells must integrate signals from multiple locations, yet the mechanisms coordinating this response remain unclear.

In this experiement we analyzed the importance of the plant proteasome transcriptional activators NAC53 and NAC78 in response to Pseudomonas syringeae pv tomato DC3000 (Pst) infection, a context known to trigger proteotoxic stress through several subcellular compartments.
