Research Progress on the Hazards of Typical Harmful Substances to Animals in Integrated Crop-Livestock Systems

However, the accumulation and migration of harmful substances such as pesticide residues, heavy metals, micro/nano-plastics, and antibiotics and antibiotic resistance genes within this system have becn issue that cannot be ignored, with their harmful effects on organisms attracting increasing attention.

Numerous studies have revealed that these harmful substances can enter the food chain through the soil-plant system, positial threats to human and animal health. This paper reviews the current main development models of crop-livestock recycling systems and the hazards of typical harmful substances to animal physiological metabolis and health, aiming to provide a reference for the risk assessment of harmful substances in crop-livestock recycling systems.
