The agency created and maintained VAPAS to collect and store data on Vietnamese Air Force (VNAF) personnel.
Description
The VNAF used this information for personnel management activities. This series contains information about personnel with the Vietnamese (Republic of Vietnam) Air Force during the later years of the Vietnamese Conflict.
The information includes name, officer or airman designation, position title and specialty code, permanent and functional grade, assigned unit, date of assignment, and status regarding service, production, and movement. While most of the data is in English there are a few fields containing information in Vietnamese. The associated documentation contains English translations for the information in Vietnamese.
