Phylogeographic history of the ring distribution in Malcus flavidipes (Heteroptera: Malcidae) shaped by directional dispersal and island adaptation in the South China Sea region

Based on simplified genome data and geographic distribution data, population genetics methods and species distribution models are used to systematically explore the mechanism of its distribution pattern formation and the evolutionary history of island populations. This study used a total of 199 samples, including 179 individuals of the yellow footed bundle long stink bug (24 populations) collected from the South China Sea region, as well as 20 individuals of the light colored bundle long stink bug (2 populations) as an outgroup.

Immediately store all samples in anhydrous ethanol after collection, and store them in a refrigerator at -20 ℃ until DNA extraction; The voucher specimen is kept at the Institute of Entomology, School of Life Sciences, Nankai University (NKU). We rely on the ipyrad program assembly process (API interface) to process Illumina raw sequencing data and screen SNP sites; The parameter setting adopts the de novo assembly mode, and the sequence clustering threshold is set to 0.85, in order to avoid the problem of homologous sequence clustering failure caused by base N, insertion deletion mutation (indel), sequencing errors, or sequence polymorphism.
