Abstract
Adults and larvae of Nicagus obscurus (LeConte) were collected from under drift wood along the shore line of Lake Superior in Wisconsin. Larvae were reared in the lab to confirm their identity. The mature larva is described and illustrated.
Notes on the placement of Nicagus in Lucanidae and habitat information are included.
