Effects of different housing density treatment and fecal microbiota transplantation on the gut microbiota of male microtus brandi

Fecal microbiota of recipient male Brandt's voles under low-density conditions were collected at week 8 after sliane (S-LV group), "LD-microbiota" (L-LV group), and "HD-microbiota" (H-LV group) transplantation (Experiment 2). Fecal microbiota of recipient male Brandt's voles under high-density conditions were collected at week 8 after saline (S-HV), "LD-exposed microbiota" (L-HV), and "HD-exposed microbiota" (H-HV) transplantation (Experiment 3).

PCR amplification was performed using primers (341F: 5′-CCTAYGGGRBGCASCAG-3′; 806R: 5′-GGACTACNNGGGTATCTAAT-3′) to target the V3-V4 regions of 16S rDNA gene of fecal microbiota.
