The Herbarium of National Museum in Prague hauses approximatelly two million plant specimens collected from all around the world.
Description
Specimens are mostly preserved as pressed and dried but collection also includes wet preparations in liquid and 3D dry samples of wood, seeds and fruits. Herbarium houses several ten thousands of type specimens, and personal collection of several outstanding botanists, among others C.Sternberg, C.Presl, F.W.Sieber, F.M.Opiz, Ch.Lehmann, C.F.W.Wallroth, K.Domin, I.Klášterský, M.Deyl, or J.Soják
