Processed data supporting “Backbone curvature and torsion reveal the geometric organization of the protein universe”

<p dir="ltr">This dataset contains the processed data supporting the manuscript “Backbone curvature and torsion reveal the geometric organization of the protein universe.” The deposited files include processed protein-level geometric descriptors derived from AlphaFold Database structures, secondary-structure analysis outputs, transcription-factor family datasets, SARS-CoV-2 spike case-study data, toxicity prediction benchmark data, and supporting metadata required to reproduce the principal analyses, figures, and supplementary tables.

Residue-level backbone curvature and torsion were calculated using Melodia, and protein-level geometric descriptors were derived from the resulting local measurements. Large publicly available source datasets, including the original AlphaFold Database structural models, are not duplicated in this repository. Detailed file descriptions, variable definitions, provenance information, and checksums are provided in the accompanying README, data dictionary, manifest, and checksum files.</p>
