This guide is the second in a series of user guides entitled Introduction to the NCAR Scientific Computing Division.
Description
Its purpose is to prepare you for your visit to NCAR and to ensure that your visit is a productive one. Chapter 1 explains the philosophy used to grant computer resources and how these resources are calculated.
It also contains a complete explanation of the procedure for applying for computer time. Chapter 2 describes what account numbers are needed and how to obtain them. Finally, Chapter 3 is a guide to appropriate methods and formats to use in carrying computer-readable data and programs to the NCAR SCD computers.
