Antimicrobial use and resistance during and after extreme-weather events: a systematic review

Listed in Teesside University Research Data Repository

Supporting data for the systematic review “Antimicrobial use and resistance during and after extreme-weather events”.

Description

The included corpus comprises 135 publications, 124 studies and 196 observations. The package contains 23 linked Supplementary Data tables (SD01–SD23), supplied as a filterable Excel workbook and UTF-8 CSV files, with a reading guide, field inventory and file manifest.

The journal supplementary appendix is submitted separately as one numbered PDF. The tables provide observation narratives and synthesis coding; human pathogen–drug records and shared reporting profiles; descriptive statement–observation links; all 80 registered findings, 342 certainty notes and evidence profiles; family contributions; extraction and screening dictionaries; publication citations; and detailed unit, direction, timing, repeated-occasion, two-group count, water-measurement and rating records.

Three additional construct-specific contrasts remain linked to their parent observations and do not increase the corpus. Stable observation, study, family and statement identifiers connect the tables. SD03 joins to SD04 by profile_id; SD05 joins to SD06 by descriptor_id.

Publication citations and source URLs are in SD14. Only exactly repeated text blocks within the same study or observation were stored once. No unique scientific field or statement membership was removed.

The README explains record units, denominators, missingness and source locators. This is a secondary synthesis of published research. The package retains published findings, synthesis coding, temporal classifications, source locators and statement-level rating records.

Assessment A and Assessment B distinguish the two retained assessment streams; their paired reasons do not imply agreement. All 15 unresolved domain judgments and their alternatives remain. The data support descriptive and statement-level synthesis, not a pooled estimate of the effect of extreme weather.

Repeated occasions, component contrasts and statement links are not independent studies; patients, prescriptions, isolates, samples and molecular quantities retain separate denominators. Copyrighted full articles and participant-level source datasets are not included. Prepared for private peer review on 6 October 2026.

The reserved DOI is not active until publication. Draft access does not establish repository acceptance or independent scientific validation.
