Dataset with Facial Emotion Intensity Ratings (Positivity and Negativity) and Recognition Accuracy Scores/Errors and Adverse Childhood Experiences (ACE) Scale Scores in a Young Adult Sample

It includes data on 236 participants, of whom 140 had data used to examine facial emotion ratings in the paper described below. Of the 140 participants, 58 reported no adverse childhood events (ACEs) and were classified as the no ACEs group.

The other 82 participants reported one or more ACEs and were classified into the ACEs group. Other variables include: demographics, alcohol use, oral contraceptive use, exercise, perceived stress scale scores, positive and negative affect schedule scores and accuracy on the facial emotion recognition task. All main variables necessary to reproduce the analyses reported in the manuscript are included in this dataset.
