Decoding Sequence Recognition Code of Nucleic-Acid Binding Proteins of Human-Infecting DNA Viruses

Listed in NCBI GEO

We applied high-throughput SELEX (HT-SELEX) to profile the DNA-binding specificity of 106 putative nucleic acid–binding proteins (NBPs) from 103 DNA viruses.

Description

Three NBPs derived from viruses whose hosts are not humans (YP_010782993.1, NP_671816.1, and AVM80381.1) were included as negative controls. We identified sequence motifs for 33 proteins.
