Data supporting “Locally optimized variational evolution for quantum many-body systems” (LOMPS)

The method, called locally optimized matrix-product-state evolution (LOMPS), determines each time step by matching reduced density matrices on finite spatial regions. We benchmark LOMPS against time-evolving block decimation and exact free-fermion calculations, examine its systematic improvement as the optimized region is enlarged, and test its performance across several quantum quenches.

We also demonstrate a quantum-classical implementation on Quantinuum H2-2 and IBM Boston Heron r3 hardware. The deposited data support the numerical benchmarks, systematic comparisons, thermalisation results, and quantum-hardware demonstrations reported in the accompanying manuscript.</p>
