This dataset contains eight land cover maps for the eastern slopes of the Canadian Rocky Mountains in Paahtómahksikimi (an area of Waterton Lakes National Park) and Iitaika’kiakio’pi (Blood 148A), a timber limit managed by Kainai Nation.
Description
Two of the land cover maps (1914 and 2024) were created using ground-based oblique images from the Mountain Legacy Project (mountainlegacy.ca) in the Mountain Image Analysis Suite. The other six maps (1939, 1950, 1967, 1987, 2009, and 2018) were created using aerial imagery.
