Surveys at the Vestfold Hills for the Australian Antarctic Division's Davis Aerodrome Project 5097 2019-20

Survey equipment included a Trimble SX10 laser scanner, Trimble S6 Total Stations and DJI Mavic 2 Zoom Drone. Survey focussed on undertaking a feature survey (SX10) of the proposed aerodrome footprint (Ridge Site), access road alignment (Adams Flat, Davis Link), and areas of supporting infrastructure (lighting towers, construction laydown areas etc.).

Further, survey monitoring of ground sediment rods (first undertaken in 2018_19) was expanded, measuring sediment movement through the summer at a range of sediment areas intersected by the aerodrome footprint. The existing Dingle rd was surveyed using vehicle mounted RTK GPS. Drone imagery was captured across the Project site (Adams Flat, Ridge Site).
