ENGIE | Seasonal live-bird monitoring data from Golden Valley Wind Farm, Eastern Cape, South Africa: 2025 Monitoring

The study was carried out across all four seasons, namely summer, autumn, winter, and spring. Monitoring was undertaken from vantage points located within and around the wind farm, as well as through walking and driving transects.

The primary objectives of the study were to record bird species occurring within the wind farm area, compare bird activity patterns across seasons, and assess whether wind farm operations influence bird distribution or behaviour. Each row in the dataset represents a single field observation of an individual bird recorded during the monitoring programme.
