Soil Species Database of Hunan—based on the Second National Soil Survey

This book collects the attribution, name, area and distribution, main physical and chemical properties, typical profile characteristics and their physicochemical analysis results, production performance, and improvement and fertilization methods of 405 soil types in Hunan Province. The collection and extraction of raw data and information have been standardized, structured, and digitized in this database.

It is an important component of the results of the second soil survey in Hunan Province. On the basis of a series of standardization work, this dataset constructed an E-R data model that includes the distribution relationship between location and soil type, as well as the classification relationship of soil occurrence and classification. It formed a data product with 5 soil orders, 11 soil classes, 25 subclasses, 124 soil genus, 405 soil species, and their physical and chemical properties.
