Aging of resting-state functional connectivity in amateur singers, instrumentalists and controls: the dataset

The sample (N=106) included 31 amateur singers (mean age 61.5 ± 16.9; 23–88 years, 20 females), 37 amateur instrumentalists (mean age 53.4 ± 18.3; 20–88 years, 11 females) and 38 non-musician active controls (mean age 54.6 ± 19.6; 20–87 years, 19 females).

All participants underwent a hearing assessment (pure-tone thresholds), and a cognitive assessment including a test of working memory (digit span test), a test of inhibitory control and cognitive flexibility (Colour-word interference test) and a test of auditory selective attention (Test of attention in listening; TAiL), and a 10-minutes eyes-open resting-state fMRI session. Here we share the aggregated dataset that was used for group-level statistical analysis as well as all the analysis scripts.
