For the conception of ‘post-tourist’, it is a wide and actual view to think about tourism development in Taiwan. The study area, Samngus, is a small aboriginal village of Tayal.
It is located in the mountains. The connecting road was built until 1995. Smangus became famous for the sacred trees, and its secrets.

But it spends more than 4 hours for tourists to arrive here. The point I am interested is why tourists will to pay the time and money to visit here. For the question, I plan to adopt the conception of ‘post-tourist’ to approach it, including the ideas of the representation of mass media, no reality in trip, spectacular signs in resorts, and relying on comsumerism.
