This article describes a new species of cavesnail, Erhaia dijiang Y.-M. He, H.-Q. Xiang, Y.-F. Zhou & H. Zheng, sp. nov., collected from a cave in Hongta District, Yuxi City, Yunnan Province, China. This species is a member of the family Erhaiidae, characterized by the absence of eyes. It represents the highest-altitude distribution among known cave-dwelling Erhaiidae species, and is the first freshwater cavesnail discovered in China.
