Dataset and Source Code for: Finite digital resolution as a deterministic stabilization mechanism for dark vortex solitons across saturable media

Listed in figshare

Description

This repository contains the primary computational datasets and the master Fortran 90 source code necessary to reproduce the numerical findings presented in the manuscript titled "Finite digital resolution as a deterministic stabilization mechanism for dark vortex solitons across saturable media", intended for publication in Physical Review E. The provided computational framework evaluates the deterministic stabilization of dark vortex solitons propagating across distinct saturable nonlinear optical media when subjected to the absolute finite resolution limits of digital control hardware.

The structural code simulates a one-dimensional modulo parameter sweep across an explicit experimental control grid, mapping the accessible discrete lattice of core radii and intensities against the continuous nonlinear tracking invariant.

By evaluating the residual quantization gap, the algorithm isolates the discrete pseudo-fixed points that neutralize spatial acceleration and suppress structural drift. The numerical integration evaluates these dynamics across four specific solid-state saturable media, including solid cryogenic carbon disulfide, chromium-doped zinc selenide, gallium arsenide, and germanium.

The uploaded archive includes six essential files.

The master executable script, named MasterSolitonAttractor.f90, contains the complete Fortran 90 source code. This program consolidates the continuous tracking invariants, inverse tracking invariants, and valid physical spatial boundaries evaluated under the paraxial approximation for all four optical materials. Upon compilation and execution using any standard compiler, such as the GNU Fortran compiler, the algorithm autonomously performs the exhaustive coordinate search and evaluates the maximum normalized propagation distances without requiring manual parameter adjustments.

A supplementary documentation file, named README.txt, is provided to detail the operational framework, the hardware constraints, and the exact compilation instructions required for independent verification.

Furthermore, the repository includes four pre-generated text files containing the topological stability datasets produced by the algorithm. These files are named results_Solid_CS2.txt, results_Cr_ZnSe.txt, results_GaAs.txt, and results_Ge.txt. Each text file systematically tabulates the computed residual quantization gap, the accessible digitized hardware intensity, the physical core radius in micrometers, and the resulting maximum normalized propagation distance for its respective material.

These datasets provide the exact spatial and intensity coordinates required to validate the spatial footprint and the long-range self-trapping geometries presented in the associated scientific article.
