The first records of Geocoris amabilis St ṏl, 1855 (Heteroptera: Geocoridae) on the island of Gran Canaria (Canary Islands, Spain) are reported. These are the first records of the species in the Canary archipelago. Furthermore, the presence of the genus Geocoris Fallén, 1814 in the archipelago is summarised.

Éstas son las primeras citas de la especie en el archipiélago canario.
Además, se resume la presencia del género Geocoris Fallén, 1814 en el archipiélago.
