For the first time, this dataset compiles central metadata on Catholic and Protestant missionary periodicals published in German between 1800 and 1918, aiming for a nearly comprehensive survey. ### Technical Remarks & Formats For the purpose of long-term archiving, these data are made accessible to the scientific community.

The dataset includes: - **XLSX** (Excel) & **CSV** (Comma-Separated Values) data files (in German). - **DOCX** explanatory notes (provided as a user guide and documentation for the dataset, available in both **English** and **German**). ### Ongoing Project & Contribution An ongoing, continuously updated version of this bibliographic database is available in FactGrid: database.factgrid.de/wiki/FactGrid:German_Missionary_Periodicals I highly appreciate any hints, corrections, or references to missionary periodicals that have not yet been included in this collection.
