Nomograms for patients with hepatocellular carcinoma treated with sorafenib

Diagnosis of HCC was made according to the criteria of American Association for the Study of Liver Diseases treatment guidelines for HCC [18]. The eligibility criteria included patients with (1) a diagnosis of HCC made by dynamic imaging criteria and/or biopsy, (2) Child-Turcotte-Pugh (CTP) class A–B liver function, and (3) sorafenib as their main treatment.

Most cases were discussed by a multidisciplinary team, and sorafenib was considered to be beneficial for survival. The demographic characteristics of patients are presented in Table 1.The institutional review board of the Tri-Service General Hospital allowed this study (permit number: 1-107-05-016) and waived the requirement for advised consent due to the retrospective disposition of the study assessed as low risk for patients.
