Nudibranch survey data Zavora bay 2026

The dataset comprises 45 sampling surveys and 337 individual occurrence records spanning approximately 30 nudibranch taxa, including several provisional (cf./undefined) identifications pending formal taxonomic description.</p><p dir="ltr">For each survey event, the data include date, site, survey method, survey duration, and environmental conditions (water temperature, visibility, surge, swell, and current).

For each individual record, the data include species identity, body size, depth, substrate association, and field observation notes (e.g. mating).</p><p dir="ltr">Column definitions, units, and further methodological notes are provided in the accompanying readme file.</p><p dir="ltr">This dataset was collected as part of a masters thesis at the Universidade do Algarve and underlies the manuscript 'Evaluating the Influence of Sampling Methodology on Estimates of Nudibranch Abundance, Species Diversity, and Community Composition in Závora, Mozambique' submitted to the African Journal of Marine Science. </p><p dir="ltr">Contact: Maya Mégret, mayamegret@gmail.com, ORCID 0009-0004-2440-0428</p>
