This figure is IDENTICAL to Fig 7 in Hoogland 2009 (Behavioral Ecology and Sociobiology) I cannot find the SYSTAT output or the SYSTAT FILE or the EXCEL file that contains the Raw Data for this figure.
Description
Problem here: Sample size for this figure is 508--but it should be 506. I must find original data or SYSTAT output.
This difference is so small that I will not bother to look for the reason for the discrepancy. 29 March 2025 For counts and statistics of Fig 18.7 for UPDs, I have used sample size of N = 506. For Fig 7 of Hoogland 2009, I also used N = 506. Where are those other two cases?

I considered data from the same UPD mothers in different years to be independent. For Fig 18.7 and a several other figures of Chapter 18, I considered data from the UPD mothers and juveniles on the same day of the same year to be independent These data used for Fig 18.7 in Hoogland 2026. This file ready for longterm storage on 27 March 2025.
Data in this EXCEL and in Fig 18.7 are SUMMARIES of Raw Data. The Raw data are in my field notes. Because I always do for other cases, I assume that I checked these summaries TWO TIMES before publication of communal nursing about UPDs.
Reference for that citation is as follows: Hoogland, J. L. 2009. Nursing of own and alien offspring by Utah prairie dogs (Cynomys parvidens). Behavioral Ecology and Sociobiology 63:1621-1634.
