How Does Gossip Generate Emotional Energy? The Roles of Interaction Ritual Completion and Shared Reality: An Analysis-Ready Dataset from Three Studies

Listed in ScienceDB

This dataset is the supporting analysis data for the paper "How Bagua generates emotional energy?

Description

The completion degree of interactive rituals and the role of shared reality". It includes three independent Excel workbooks, as well as corresponding variable dictionaries, source file versions, and sample caliber explanations. Study 1 is a cross-sectional online questionnaire study involving 728 adult participants, mainly measuring gossip participation, completion of interactive rituals, shared reality, emotional energy, and demographic control variables.

Study 2 is a 2 (Eight Trigrams/Non Eight Trigrams) × 2 (Low/High Familiarity) inter subject experiment, involving 135 participants in 45 three person groups; The data simultaneously retains two sets of interaction type variables: experimental allocation and subjective identification of participants, as well as baseline and post test indicators, and provides an analysis sample of 107 individuals with consistent manipulation identification.

Study three is an empirical sampling study, with measurements taken three times a day for a total of nine measurement days; The data contains 4114 observations, of which 3544 are social interaction observations. The original organized data for Study 3 includes 171 study numbers, with 170 participants having complete gender and age information. The core variables of the three studies include gossip, completion of interactive rituals, shared reality, and emotional energy, which support cross-sectional analysis, experimental analysis, and multilevel repeated measures analysis, respectively.

The data files have been subjected to variable screening and structural organization according to the analysis requirements of the submitted paper, and explanations have been provided for the recoded variables, analysis criteria, and sample screening rules. The data does not contain direct identification information such as name, contact information, and precise geographic location, and only retains the study numbers necessary for repeated measurements and group analysis.
