The relationship between capital management and information capital

The goal of this article is to discuss and con rm the economic value of intellectual capital and describe related problems in such areas as innovation, entrepreneurship, competi- tion and knowledge management. The structure of intellectual capital as the ratio of the infor- mation capital and the management capital is proposed.

One of the key premises advanced in this paper is the process of movement of knowledge as an element of information capital, its transformation to information through impact knowledge management system as part of capi- tal management. The paper is based on a literature review and author's own experiences with intellectual capital initiatives. The ability to manage and measure intellectual capital, as well as converting it into useful goods and services, is becoming a critical competency in today's business.
