Butterfly abundance data of four different short rotation coppice (SRC) life stages

In each life stage, three Malaise traps were placed (3 sites per life stage). The traps were active for two weeks, each in May, June, July and August.

The samples were collected to compare the butterfly richness and abundance between the life stages. Butterflies were identified by an entomological expert to species level. Furthermore, the dataset comprises the wet mass of the butterfly individuals per species and sample, weighed with a precision scale (0.001 g)
