The LCT Connections Data SPM dataset provides an aggregated view of Low Carbon Technology (LCT) connections under 1 MW across the SP Energy Networks (SPEN) distribution network, reported at Primary Substation level.
Description
The dataset is derived by linking Metered Service Terminations (MSTs) which hold information for LCT connections to their upstream network hierarchy to assign each connection to a corresponding Primary Substation.
The dataset provides: Primary Substation grouping Aggregated LCT demand and generation metrics To support consistent reporting and minimise data sparsity: Common technologies (e.g. EV, solar PV, battery storage) are reported as individual categories Less prevalent technologies are grouped into standardised categories (e.g. Generation Other, Demand Other, Generation Wind) All values are reported in kW. The dataset is updated on a biannual basis.
