X-Ray Imaging Telescope: Balloon Data from INPE, in Brazil

It is stored in 64 kbyte binary files. Each file has all the digitized spectra of each detector.

Each detector is coupled to a photomultiplier and the output pulses are height-analyzed in 32 channels covering the nominal energy range of 30-100 Kev. The coded mask technique employed in this experiment allows imaging observations with an angular resolution of approximately 2 degrees in a 10 degrees x 10 degrees field of view, which is defined by a collimator placed in front of the detector system. Due to the fact that astronomical X-Ray background varies with (Earth) geographic coordinates, the pertinent measurements are located in South America.
