Description
This repository contains video data used both for the development of the TRex (trex.run/) tracking software and for teaching its use. The filenames use the convention project_YYYYMMDD_N Where: - project stands for the project name (e.g. hexbug). In the locusts video set, the suffix after the dash (-noqr, -qr, -mix) indicates whether individuals are tagged with Aruco markers. - N stands for the number of filmed individuals Video Set 1: guppies 1. guppy_20200727_8.mp4 This is a video of 6:40 minutes of 8 guppies (Poecilia reticulata).
The video was originally recorded at 30 frames per second but the playback in this file is set to 25 frames per second. Video Set 2: hexbugs 2. hexbug_20250129_5.mp4 This is a video of 2:47 minutes of 5 hexbugs. The video was originally recorded at 50 frames per second but the playback in this file is set to 30 frames per second.

The videos were collected in the facilities of the Department of Collective Behavior at the Max Planck Institute of Animal Behavior and the Centre for the Advanced Study of Collective Behaviour (CASCB) at the University of Konstanz.
