Natural Resources Data Bank of the General Directorate for Environmental Protection (GDOŚ) – reptile inventory data from Poland

In 2019, the General Directorate for Environmental Protection (GDOŚ) established a central database—the Natural Resources Data Bank—whose purpose is to consolidate in a single location records generated since 2004.

The published data were collected using various inventory methodologies and then harmonized into a uniform structure to facilitate their public availability and use. For the purposes of publication in GBIF, the locations of individual records were generalized to the centroids of Polish counties to ensure a uniform level of spatial aggregation. The source data compilations, including names of the authors of the primary records, are provided in the ‘datasetName’ field.
