The samples were collected during a number of expeditions and excursions in various habitat types, both natural and anthropogenic, across the territory of Poltava region, spanning the period from 1989 to 2010. The dataset comprises biodata on specimens invertebrate animals, held in the private collection of S. Bezuhlyi.
Some of the specimens are preserved as dry specimens on pins.
