ARISE-SAI-1.5

Listed in National Center for Atmospheric Research

Description

The Assessing Responses and Impacts of Solar climate intervention on the Earth system with stratospheric aerosol injection simulations (ARISE-SAI-1.5) utilize a moderate emission scenario, introduce stratospheric aerosol injection at approximately 21 km in year 2035, and keep global mean surface air temperature near 1.5C above the pre-industrial value. CESM2 (WACCM6) global output from all model components (atmosphere, ice, land, ocean) on monthly, daily and sub-daily frequencies.

All atmospheric data is on the original CESM2 (WACCM6) grid (0.9 by 1.25 degrees). All data is in time-series, NetCDF format. More details about this dataset (including information on reference simulations) can be found on the ARISE-SAI-1.5 CESM Community Project page linked below under Related Resources.
