Bat ectoparasites and host associations from Belarus

It documents the diversity and host associations of various ectoparasite taxa, including fleas (Siphonaptera), mites (Mesostigmata, Trombidiformes), flies (Diptera: Nycteribiidae), bugs (Hemiptera: Cimicidae), and soft ticks (Ixodida: Argasidae).The data were collected during bat mist-netting studies conducted across a wide range of habitats and protected areas in Belarus.Ectoparasites were collected directly from captured bats and preserved in 70% ethanol.

Subsequently, representative specimens from the majority of the samples were mounted on microscope slides using Faure-Berlese medium. All specimens are housed in the first author's collection and were identified by Aleksandra I. Larchanka and Maria V. Orlova.
