Warm springs and dry summers weaken radial stem growth dependence on primary growth by increasing phenological synchrony between primary and secondary meristems in Pinus taiwanensis

Listed in ScienceDB

This dataset contains weekly observations of primary and secondary growth phenology of Pinus taiwanensis Hayata along an elevational gradient in the subtropical forests of southeastern China during 2017–2019.

Description

The observations cover needle unfolding, shoot elongation, and stem radial growth at three elevations, including an extreme drought year (2019). The dataset provides phenological observations and associated climate and environmental variables, and can be used to examine the seasonal coordination of primary and secondary growth and their responses to temperature and drought.
