The deal.II tutorial step-60: non-matching grid constraints through distributed Lagrange multipliers

Listed in SISSA Open Data

This tutorial program shows how to solve partial differential equations involving two non-matching discretisations.

Description

In particular we show how to solve a partial differential equation on a generic domain $\Omega$, enforcing some conditions on the solution of the problem on an embedded subregion $\Gamma$ of $\Omega$. When $\Gamma$ is of co-dimension one, this is also referred to as the Fictitious Boundary Method.
