Content Analysis of Misinformation on Facebook by Alternative Media in CH, DE, FR, UK, and US in 2020

This dataset consists of Facebook-posts (N = 1,661) published by the five most popular alternative media outlets in France, Germany, Switzerland, the UK, and the US in 2020.
Description
It is relevant to note that we sampled the 70 most successfull posts per alternative media outlet, i.e., those posts that reached the highest number of likes, reactions, shares, and comments in the time period April 14, 2020 to June 30, 2020. Also, we excluded posts in the format of a LIVE-video since those were often longer than 1 hour, as well as posts that weren't available on Facebook anymore (this is due to profile owner restrictions or the post has been deleted).
