Guidances for the Respiratory Syncytial Virus Prophylactic Monoclonal Antibodies in Primary Care

In recent years, substantial advancements have been achieved in the field of RSV prevention worldwide. In China, the first RSV preventive monoclonal antibody has been approved for application.

Meanwhile, multiple RSV monoclonal antibodies and vaccines are on the clinical trial stage. Based on the latest domestic and international practical experience, the expert group has formulated a guidance for the use of RSV preventive monoclonal antibodies in primary medical institutions in China through comprehensive discussions. This guidance consists of six parts: overview of RSV infection, populations eligible for prevention, prevention application regimens, management of adverse reactions, follow-up management, and health education.
