Ensuring the health of refugees: taking a broader vision

This paper assesses the knowledge and practice of refugee health care to argue that refugee assistance policies and programmes must be re-oriented in order to ensure the physical, social and mental well-being of refugees over the short- and long-term.

Central to the implementation of a programme providing for this is the adoption of a broader vision of what constitutes health care for refugees.
