Data associated with article "Abrupt transition to irreversible damage in the overdrafted Sacramento Valley aquifer system"

Listed in IPGP Research Collection

This dataset contains the geodetic, hydrological, and geological datasets used to investigate groundwater-induced land deformation and aquifer compaction in the Sacramento Valley, California, from 2016 to 2022.

Description

The archive includes Sentinel-1 descending Track 115 InSAR displacement time series and associated products, continuous GNSS observations, intermittent and continuous groundwater-level measurements from monitoring wells, and lithological information derived from borehole logs.

Together, these datasets enable the characterization of seasonal poroelastic deformation, long-term groundwater depletion, and the transition to irreversible aquifer compaction during the 2020–2022 California drought.
