Effects of Zingiber officinale Extract Against Monosodium Glutamate-Induced Hepatotoxicity in Adult Wistar Rats

Forty-eight rats were divided into six groups and treated for 21 days with either MSG, different doses of ginger extract, a combination of MSG and ginger, or no treatment beyond standard feed and water. The dataset includes changes in body weight, liver weight and relative liver weight, serum ALT, AST and ALP levels, as well as the histological observations recorded from liver tissue.

Results are presented as reported in the original study, using mean ± SEM where applicable. Where individual-animal measurements were not available, no values were estimated or reconstructed.
