A new species, Platystethus fugongensis Lü, sp. nov., is described from the central area of the Hengduan Mountains, the northwestern part of Yunnan, China.This species has a close resemblance to Platystethus bucerus Lü & Zhou, 2015. However, they can be distinguished by the triangular horn shape and the location of sub-apical seta on aedeagal parameres.
