This paper draws on examples from Africa and the Middle East to examine the consequences of mass repatriation.
Description
The paper looks at the immediate problems of reception, accommodation and dispersal; the medium-term issues of employment, loss of remittances, and other economic, social, and ecological resources. Finally, it considers the future course of the mass exodus of migrant communities.
