Taxonomic composition and cover of flowering plants in Finnish traffic-related green spaces

The dataset contains information on the composition and cover of flowering vascular plant species growing in traffic-related urban green spaces in three Finnish cities: Helsinki (60°19'N, 24°95'E), Tampere (61°29'N, 23°47'E), and Turku (60°27'N, 22°16'E).
Description
The data were collected during the period from July 24th to August 5th, 2022, in the mean flowering phenophase of vascular plants in Finland. Three types of traffic-related green spaces: traffic islands, road verges, and parking lots, were assessed for species of vascular plants.
Five replicates per green space type per city were visited in both urban areas and suburban areas in all study locations, resulting in a total of 30 green spaces evaluated per city. A detailed description of the vegetation survey is given in a separate study (Skaldina et al. 2024). The project has the abbreviation UGI, urban green infrastructure.
